Help LGBTQIA+ Young People and Families Thrive
Queer Futures Gloucestershire is powered by people who care. From our volunteer trustees to our dedicated team of staff, we work together to create safe, supportive and inclusive spaces for LGBTQIA+ young people and their families across Gloucestershire.
We're always looking for compassionate, reliable volunteers to join us and support our growing community.
Whether you have experience working with young people, are a parent wanting to give back, or simply want to support LGBTQIA+ people in your local area, we'd love to hear from you.
Ways You Can Get Involved
Parent Support Network Volunteer
Help create welcoming spaces for parents and carers of LGBTQIA+ young people.
You might:

Welcome attendees

Help facilitate conversations and peer support

Assist with refreshments and practical tasks

Help parents connect with information and resources
Youth Session Volunteer (Ages 13-18)
Support our regular youth group sessions for LGBTQIA+ young people aged 13 to 18.
You might:

Welcome young people as they arrive
-
Help run creative activities and games
-
Support group discussions
-
Prepare drinks and snacks
-
Help create a safe, inclusive and positive environment
Young Adult Session Volunteer (Ages 18-25)
Support our sessions for LGBTQIA+ young adults aged 18 to 25.
You might:

Help facilitate activities and social events

Support community building and peer connections
-
Welcome new attendees
-
Assist with refreshments and session set-up
What We're Looking For
We are looking for people who:

Are supportive of LGBTQIA+ communities

Can bring kindness, patience and a calm presence

Are reliable and committed
-
Work well as part of a team

Are willing to learn and develop their skills
Previous experience is welcome but not essential. We provide induction, support and training.
